Active Galapagos Islands Land Tours
Our Active Galapagos Islands Land Tours based on Santa Cruz and Isabela Islands takes you to Puerto Villamil, where you can walk down its long, palm-lined, white-sand beaches. You can also enjoy the scenic beauty of several brackish-water lagoons frequented by whimbrels, pink flamingoes, gallinules, common stilts, and white-cheeked pintails. Choose the best options that fit you between 4 and 8 days of our Active Galapagos Islands Land Tours Santa Cruz and Isabela Islands. Our Galapagos Island Hopping Tours are highly recommended for families with kids, friends, and active couples.
The Isabela Island, formed as a result of the merger of six shield volcanoes, is located on the archipelago’s western border, close to the Galapagos hotspot. Puerto Villamil is the island’s lone settlement situated to its southern part and has a quaint charm about it. It was a fishing village even a few years back but has now emerged as a much sought after tourist destination with a lot of activities and sightseeing to the visitors.
Our Active Galapagos Islands Land Tours Santa Cruz Isabela tours also include a visit to Chico Volcano and Sierra Negra Crater, the latter being the second largest crater in the world (with a diameter measuring 11km.). Snorkeling and touring the Tintoreras Islets, situated at 10 minutes from Puerto Villamil, which plays host to a great variety of wildlife, are other things to do on Isabela. We work exclusively with local Guides certified by the Galapagos National Park.
Galapagos exploration is best done in small, well-coordinated groups directed by an Expedition Leader. Our groups are led by a multilingual park-certified Naturalist Guide, whose ample knowledge will be essential to unlock the islands’ secrets to visitors. Some guides are birdwatchers, others love the ocean, and others can make the stones talk. These seasoned individuals will broaden your understanding and appreciation for each destination.
